it was lucy sander sons wish that her funeral service be held in christ anglican church the family re spected that request following her passing may 18 in scarborough centenary hospit al where shed been a patient only a week she was 89 born in london england association with the anglican church was important to mrs sanderson she was active in the con gregation when services were held in the little chapel on main street now the site of the present post office mrs sanderson and her husband the late william george sandy sanderson met while he was serving overseas during world war i later she came by boat to canada and the two were married in toronto a few hours after her arrival before moving to stouffville mr and mrs sanderson resided at brougham and un- ionville mrs sanderson served as past matron of the markham chapter order of the east ern star she was also active in the stouff ville womens institute mrs sanderson enjoyed needlework with her grandchildren the beneficiaries of had the same reaction friday even ing as we attended recital 85 at stouff ville dist secondary school this program was the culmination of a lot of hard work and dedication by some very enthusiastic youngsters who for several months had been attending week ly classes at the dancecentre a main street enterprise that obviously has more going on behind the scenes than i would have imagined in a tightly run program we were enter tained by aspiring ballerinas tap and jazz dancers who put for their best efforts to show mom dad brothers sisters grand parents and friends that beneath those re served smiles was an abundance of talent that had been nurtured by an amazing lady and exposed for the scrutiny of all those people in attendance my hats off to you michele green you are a professional teacher of unbounded patience and talent im amazed at the numbers of students youve taught the variety of the program the imaginative choreography and the way the kids put their hearts into the performance from one who has never been an ardent fan of your craft i thank you for our five- yearold who was part of your program and the rest of the family as we were so warmed by each and
