his pas sing feb 26 in scar borough centenary hospital he was 84 mr wilson was admitted to hospital feb 24 arid died the following sunday he had suffered a heart attack in 1962 but recovered suffi ciently to carry on a nearnormal life mr wilson was born in pickering township the son of william and alice gillman wilson he farmed on the 7th cone of picker ing for 36 years then retired to stouffville in 1969 mr and mrs wil son enjoyed travell ing recent trips took them to the holy land the east and west coasts of canada and florida mr wilsons asso ciation with the mis sionary church worked initially out of an office on main street in stouffville then richmond hill and later new market clara was a mem ber of the newmar ket nursing team with four schools under their jurisdic tion children mrs wideman said york region is blessed with several agencies ready and able to handle emergency situa tions such was not the case 25 years ago she said when assistance was no closer than toronto were pretty well selfsufficient now she said i feel for peo ple clara said her soft eyes displaying a deepdown con cern in her heart she also considers it important that one never stops learn ing for this reason despite her retirement self- education will con tinue i appreciate being able to help people in distress she repeated un mindful of the fact how much those same people have
