passing of mrs bertram taun at st michaels hospital toronto she was 79 mrs taun the former alice wright was born in toronto the daughter of addison and mary wright following her marriage she and her husband farmed on the bloomington road between warden and woodbine avenue more than 30 years mr taun died in november 1960 following her husbands death mrs taun moved to main street stouffville where she soon became associated with the congregation of stouffville united church the ucw and the womens institute a particular denomination however proved no barrier mrs taun attended special services and events in all of stouffvilles churches en joying the inspiration and friendships that such associations engendered she also had a close attachment to the stouffville horticultural society and while she seldom participated in shows she loved flowers and plants mrs taun was herself an accom modating person who made friends wherever she went rev cecil tiller her pastor made mention of this at
