the final seconds of play after their win against wood- bridge a 3 hour and 15 minute battle the team found them selves with a 1030 pm starting time against the aa division winners the toronto aeros for the grand championship it was too much for the home squad battered tired and ex hausted they gallantly took to the ice but unfortunately they had nothing left to give scott evans had to leave the net at the end of the first period due to a back in jury while lee armett took over the gutsy evans refused to stay off the ice and was back by the end of the second period an unassisted goal by kent was the first games they had played on full ice they even had their names announced before the final even at 7 am the arena buz zed with great activity while the games had an intensity and excitment
