m the tribune thursday november 12 181 editor mail v need leader in recreation dear sir i can well ap preciate cliff dunkelds feeling concerning all- star softball in town certainly no one has worked harder to promote and carry on such sports programs here its discouraging when theres so little support in my opinion this points up the need for a recreation driector in whitchurch stouffville an individual who will assume some of the responsibilities that people like cliff dunkeld have shouldered almost alone its one thing to be a volunteer but quite another to continually cant think softball now dear mr thomas with respect to cliff dunkelds complaint concerning mack of interest in allstar softball id like to make comment while i can ap preciate mr dunkelds frustration the association is partly at fault for calling an organization meeting at this time of year whos thinking softball in october and november when hockeys in full swing its much like calling a hockey meeting in july regardless of the attendance or lack of it i say theres plenty of interest in allstar ball here but not now mr dunkeld or someone on the executive would be wise to consider a meeting next march or april rather than abandon the program completely on the strength of the poor turnout oct 29 sincerely peter keuer stouffer street stouffville govt lax says leader dear mr thomas interesting to see by the oct 29 issue of the tribune that our local mpp bui hodgson is still alive i was beginning to wonder not since his at tendance at the public meeting in the high school has he bothered to even comment on our water problem here nor did he bother to receive the delegation that travelled to queens park even his letter published in part by your newspaper was in reply to an earlier one sent- to him by mrs sainsbury in my opinion the provincial government has been very lax in its handling of this whole mess mr hodgson for one could have done 1 much to allay the fears of local residents rather than leaving the problem entirely in the laps of our mayor and council im beginning to think that except for election time we dont count sincerely wilbur florian elm road stouffville dies suddenly
