featuring the orchard park school choir and the whitchurch stouffville citizens band thrilled the audience comprising mainly of appreciative parents v the choir under the direction of staff teacher ron bobbins opened the program the band moved into the spotlight partway through with the two groups combining their talents in a memorable rendition of silent night band conductor david howard apologized for the several vacancies within their ranks adding that the best half is in attendance what the group lacked in quantity was replaced by quality with a couple of exceptions the band concentrated on traditional christmas carols a permissable inclusion was how great thou art the buglers holiday was beautifully done resulting in prolonged ovation the bands version of jingle bells
