their 50th anniversary saturday afternoon and evening the open house held at their residence was attended by more than 200 friends and relatives many from a distance mr and mrs timbers have two sons mbrley of markham lorne of los angeles california and one daughter jean mrs keith hoover of montreal they haveten grandchildren and three great- grandchildren j jim thomasrfrservicesthere regularly unionville the ii friendly atmosphere i within the home of mr y and mrs ernie timbers i krieghoff avenue i saturday was as warm i as the weather cutside i the occasion was mr and i mrs timbers golden i wedding anniversary and more than 200 many from a distance helped them celebrate the event ernie and lillian welcomed each guest personally sharing memories of the good times theyve known together prior to taking up residence in unionville they farmed on steeles avenue for a period of 31 years two sons moriey of markham and lorne of los angeles california and a daughter jean mrs keith hoover of montreal grew up there they now have ten grandchildren and three greatgrandcbsdren mr timbers has three brothers ed at uxbridge john in sunderland ambrose at gladwin michigan gordon of claremont and three sisters minnie mrs wilmot raymer brantford gertrude bundock at agincourt and piney grove in markham mrs timbers has one brother fred walters in napanee and two sisters elsie mrs alfred smith of belleville and ethel collins in toronto they were the recipients of message of congratulations from lieut governor pauline mcgibbon prime minister joe clark mayor tony roman and members of markham etobicoke where he received his elementary and secondary school education four years ago mr and mrs wollner and daughter andrea 7 took up residence in stouff- ville a move they never regretted the had been especially appreciated since his passing miltons hobbies included gun and coin collecting as well as reading prior to his initial heart attack that occurred about ten years ago he was an avid
