the school spirit award for participation and co operation was presented to julie hisey paul berger was selected top grade eight male athlete and joanne woodcock was chosen top female athletel in her valedictory address lisa addison said out of all my eight years in public school this year was the busiest and the most memorable this year was as much fun as it was educational she con tinued praising the staff she described the teachers as very dedicated their friendliness and warmth made school pleasurable she said on behalf of all grade eight graduates she thanked the staff and their principal mr mcroberts for making f this the best year possible the students presented awards to john hopkins for being the best and only home room teacher bob burrows for being a teacher as well as a friend wolf buchholz for his enjoyable jokes and sue boyne for being a great sport and great athletic coach they recognized their principal for being one of the best in an emotional farewell address home room teacher john hopkins said he had taught many exceptional students but as a group this class strikes me as the most exceptional in my experience noting their mature attitude and positive outlook he said he was thankful for the op portunity of getting to know them so well though he had become attached to his class he said we have come to the point where we must say goodbye i hope you
