their former surroundings theyre from nicaragua the newly a family of jose and elizabeth amador stouffer street elizabeth met jose while she was jacmng in nicaragua and they moved to stouffville 13 years ago the two women were neighbors of joses family there we wanted to bring them here to give the girls and their children an opportunity for a better way of life mrs amador said not only do people in the country have little of our wealth but because of civil war they have little peace or security mrs amador explained she believes its important to share with people and that anything you do is returned many times over our new family has brought a lot of joy into our home contrary to popular opinion the adoption process is long and drawn out according to mrs amador it took almost three years to bring the girls and their children to their new home and caused the amadors much worry the amadors say they are particularly grateful to federal mp sinclair stevens whose office kept them informed as each step in the process was completed the four who have been here only a week and a half are suffering from what mrs amador describes as culture shock they never have been away from home before she explained there are so many changes they are beginning to wonder if anything familiar still exists using mrs amador as an interpreter the women confessed theyre a little homesick accustomed to a much larger family they miss all their relatives and worry about their safety for them adjusting to the change in tem perature food and milk is difficult as soon as they can get organized the
