track and field a well organized training schedule has been developed that reserves monday and wednesday after school for middle and long distance runners and in the evening for sprinters and relay teams tuesdays and thursdays are set aside for hurdles long jump high jump and discus the middle and long distance runners please those in the high jump have additional practices on fridays as an extra bonus srdss athletes have some- real pros assisting in several events judy sackfield ofssa high jump champion john from george neland- a national hurdler and dave pearson an ex- printerand canadian jr 200 meter champion with such- professional coaches as those just mentioned sdss should go a long way recently at the york county gymnastics competition at huron heights secondary scool the two representatives from stouffville pauline whale competing on the floor and the beam and jane huxtable on the the floor and the vault executed fine per formances but failed to- advance to the
