kent smythe gave the bears the lead in the first period which they held until the third when bay ridges evened it up a few minutes later kirk smythe on a pass from brother kent put the bears back in the lead with only 408 remaining in the game everything went wrong when the bay ridges team swarmed into the stouffville zone to score two quick goals and take the game in bay ridges on wednesday night the bears outhustled the bay ridges boys to a 62 victory the first period was closely matched with mike ferguson putting the bears first on the board and kirk smythe scoring number 2 on an assist by derek hamilton the period ended 22 the second and third periods belonged to the bears with jay pedden and mark goldring collecting one apiece and derek brown collecting two more and an assist other assists went to kirk smythe darron baston and mike ferguson back in stouffville for their saturday night third game of the series the bears suffered their second defeat as bay ridges scored with only seconds remaining in the final period taking an early two goal lead in the second period the visitors were not prepared to give it up and the stouffville boys could do nothing against sdss placed second out of 20 schools entered of the 80 skiers in the boys event only 41 were able to negotiate the difficult course stouff ville placed three in the top twenty the girls also finished sundays the fee for the year has been set at 10 per head the registration list will be open until the end of march the t ball league had a very successful season last year and will be in full swing by the end of may the formation of other house league teams will depend on the number of registrants allstar ball for boys will include a squirt team to be coached by bob belisle and it is hoped to have either a bantam or midget team there will most definitely be a peewee team the junior team will be coached by wayne nugent wayne feasby and wilf morley and the midgets by bob morley and bob dart for- the girls-there- will be a novice allstar ball team to be coached by allan pieie also a bantam team the juvenile girls team will also be back this year for the adults there will be 4 ladies teams and
