friendship that began back in the good old days at harbord collegiate reached a joyous milestone sept 16 when mr and mrs ted saunders of 420 watson drive stouffville celebrated their golden wedding anniversary the event held in grace christian reform church at agincourt was attended by family- relatives and close friends some they hadnt seen for several years ted and leone hold special memories for those happy times at harbord yes he took me out once or twice she recalled but it was near the end nothing serious really if it wasnt serious for her it certainly was for him ted kept in touch and they were later married sept 18 1928 professionally both have been successful mrs saunders is a graduate of the university of toronto and a former teacher at oshawa collegiate mr saunders now retired was a department manager at the head office of canada life assurance company toronto while much of their married life has been spent in the toronto area they selected stouffville twelve years ago so they could be closer to their cottage at kinmount ont and close to their daughter nancy in agincourt theyve never regretted the move we like it here said mrs saunders the people are so friendly they
