registration for boys and girls hockey and power skating will be quite a bit simpler this year for the first time those three sports will be registering all at the same time at latcham hall thereby making it easier both on the players as to when to register and in the officials doing the paperwork registration started last monday and con tinues next week with the final three dates times are monday sept 18 and thursday sept 21 be tween 7 and 9 pm at latcham hall the last date is saturday sept 23 between 9 am and 12 noon also at the hall the whitchurch- stouffviue minor hockey associations tournament the peewees the most successful of the local teams in the tour ney fan out of gas in their final game against hillcrest after playing a superb but exhausting semifinal match against uxport lost a squeaker to hillcrest 21 despite that loss they were still able to advance to the semifinals in those two games karl luefong led the offense with four goals n while gordon marshall had two and totally exhausted however its still quite an achievement to have a local club in the finals besides the peewees hillcrest also captured a second championship in the atom division in the semifinal hillcrest- from willowdale knocked off aurora to advance to the vl finals a g a i n s t chinguacousy who triumphed oyer their aurora opponent for the second year in a row the hillcrest team proved unbeatable as they took the cham pionship with an 80 victory the third cham- pionship mosquito division t was taken by midlandcaledonia in a wild final game the midland team reached- the final after defeating aurora while their opposition malton defeated newmarket the midlandmaltori final was undoubtedly the closest of the day regular play ended in a 1- 1 tie two periods of overtime followed but
