has followed the panthers efforts in the last three years will agree that this club has proved to be first rate the first year of operation saw the panthers make the playoffs which is a great accomplish- ment for a first year club two years ago saw the panthers go all the way to finish the regular season in first place as league champions for which we won the gary archer memor ial trophy losing only 6 games in the 44 game schedule the panthers were 3 points away from tying a record for most points in one season last year panthers won first place again in the regular season play the panthers again made it to the semi finals being beat out by markham in the last game they lost only six games in the 38 game schedule panthers worked very hard at the first of last season to capture first place in their division thus qualifying them for a position as one of eight teams in n ontario to go to thunder bay to com- pete in the ontario winter games at the end of the season there were many awards handed out to deserving players on the team both from the oha and from the team itself the bulk of these trophies went to number 18 steve falkner who- was well 7 deserving of all he won panthers were also instrumental gain this year as in the past for procuring college scholar- ships for some of our players this year there were eight scholarships offered seven were accepted as cam every monday evening at the sheridan mall with the net pro ceeds to be donated to minor hockey now that the second year of pmhl select hockey- will continue the pmhl executive coaches man- aers and players would like to thank the sheridan mall merchandisers association for the full sponsorship of the ten teams in the select program the sheridan mall have provided each boy who plays select hockey with a complete uniform consisting of swea- ters stockings hockey pants and helmets to be crested sheridan mall pickering selects this is a very-gen- erous committment by them and they will be
