he finished fifth out of a field of about 350 in the midget bos division also for the midget bojs bob hughes was 22nd mark harold 66th and tim brown 95th sdss was eighth out of 48 teams for the junior boys duncan manser of sdss was 26th out of about 330 john kocker led the senior team ind finished 55th in a field of 275 runners the stouffville girls had three teams entered our grade 8 and two high school teams the high school a team was led to an 18thplace finish bv shelley smith who was c91h out of 325 sandy slosej managed a 76th place as the grade 8 team finished 18th as well sixtythree teams competed sdsss overall standing was 10th out of 40 teams the next meet for sdss is oct 15 in the york county cham pionships at the vivian forest hockey dance stouffville the minor hockey fund- raising dance at cedar beach will be friday volley ball sdss volleyball teams performed well in tournaments over the- weekend in barrie the junior hois were defeated in the finals while the seniors lost out in semi finals at sudbury the juniors first squelched bayview 156 then split games with barrie central winning 1510 and losing 1513 barrie central was the teams rival last year at the georgian bay finals sdss juniors then droppedtwo games 1015 and 1115 to alliston before whipping st josephs barrie 154 15- 3 the same scores were then registered in vic tories over st teresa midland in semifinals the juniors trounced barrie central this time 153 and 159 in the finals with alliston the juniors were beaten 715 before bouncing back 158 in the second contest that game was decided on a disputed
