rows of chairs back to his place remember the other little boy who was so shy that he couldnt face the crowd he spent the whole time with his back turned to the audience going through the christmas presents under the tree and mumbling twas the night before christmas he was the hit of the party remember another little boy who stood up to sing jingle bells and couldnt remember where to stop so pickering became the bride of clifford earl davis of oshawa on saturday september 8 at ontario ladies college whitby with the keep them under wraps for winter our cold ontario winters are hard on many ornamental trees and shrubs especially if they are not properly pro tected by suitable wrappings should reflect the suns rays and serve as a windbreak but permit good air circulation around the shrub or tree says burke mcneill horticultural specialist with the ontario ministry of agriculture and food burlap is one of the best wrapping materials in addition to reflecting the suns rays and protecting the or namental from winter winds it is porous enough for good air circulation wrap the burlap loosely and be certain that you have enough material to cover the entire plant plants may be wrapped from top to bottom but it is more effective to drive stakes into the ground around the plant and attach the burlap securely to the stakes that way good air circulation around the plant is assured opaque plastic can be used instead of burlap wrap it loosely around the plant do not use dark or black plastic instead of reflecting it draws the heat fun day planned in 1974 a giant winter
