the area for two decades morgan baker passed away on thursday nov 29 me was in his 90th year mr baker had farmed at baker hill in his early years but in 1920 turned to municipal politics in whitchurch township and was first elected to council in that year in 1924 he moved to the reeves chair which he occupied for the next fiveycars mr ifciker was also a york county goodl roads commissioner for several terms before turning to provincial politics where he elected members of parliament for york north riding doris mrs floyd hal- cliff all of stouffville alanofchicagoand mary mrs keith hutchinson oldham son merlyn doris mrs floyd ratcli- ff all of stouffville alan of chicago and mary mrs keith hutchinson there are 19 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren mr baker was predeceased by his first wife edna gertrude clubine also surviving is a brother eugene and a sister zillah mrs ii gilbert both of stouffville the funeral service was conducted from passes in hospital stouffville
