and highlyesteemed senior citizen of the markham community passed away peacefully at her home september 28 the daughter of suzanna and george tran she was born on cone 10 at mongolia 91 years ago following her marriage in 1903 mrs thomson lived in claremont with her husbandwalter who was a baker by trade they took up residence in markham a few years after on purchasing premises on main street which they operated as the markham bakery the business was sold in 1914 when the thomsons moved lo the usa they settled near billings montana but returned in 1921 to repurchase ihe bakery and establish their home and business on markham main street once more mrs thomson serv ed and assisted her husband in the bakeshop until they retired in 1930 to property in the village which was later ap propriately named for the benefit of postal delivery thomson court always energetic mrs thomson continued despite- her age to tackle her own housework and take an active interest in local functions she was a charter member of markham order of the eastern star and up until a few months ago attend ed meetings regularly the local order paid last respects to its respected member at a special service
