fine job that is now evident the only treasure found during the renovation was the front page of the old toronto newspaper the globe dated july 3 1891 and addressed to joel baker the original owner of the house then came the decorating and furnishing and this in itself is a sight to be seen a virtual kaleidoscope of vivid yet restful colours abound throughout his office and apartment which combine with a great variety of wall coverings barnwood stone carpeting pegged flooring ceiling beams antique fixtures and furniture and the most modern in chiropractic treatment equipment and xray facilities to give a very happy blend of both the old and the new those who have already seen throuoh his place have said that dr delaurier should have been an interior decorator too for it was he who created the entire interior design of both his office and residence in the years prior to renovating the inside we have seen dr oelaurier transform the exterior of the building to its original ap pearance by sandblasting the qcn brick structure and adding window shutters which had been removed in years past dr delaurier has land scaped the lot to complement the setting and maintains the flower beds himself as one of his favourite hob bies though all of this activity plus his busy practise has necessitated dr delaurier to curtail his out of oftic activities in recent years he had been very active locally in the committee of stewards at the stouffville united church in various posi tions on the stouffville lions club and was a founding member and president of the stouffville players also during this time he has given many hours to his profession as vice- president of his alumni association vicepresident of the ontario chiropractic association and served for several years on the board of directors of both the canadian chiropractic association and the canadian memorial chiropractic college his alma mater throughout all of tnis dr delaurier has kept abreast of the latest developments in chiropractic by regularly attending seminars both in canada and the united states in january of this year dr delaurier hired mrs lorroine reman and mrs clara white to assist him with his office work in the near future he hopes to have another chiropractor join him in his enlarged office and to hire another secretary so that the resulting clinic will better serve the growing needs of he
