making the greatest contribution to sports activities in 196970 the presentation of the homestead trophy was made june 9 it marks the second time in the awards 2year history that peter has been so honored peter harris stouffville ten elementary schools in cluding five from ontario county will participate in the third annual track and field meet on the grounds of sdss saturday the meet chairman is mr gary harrison webb school uxbridge township other entries are fifth line glasgow and goodwood all from ux bridge claremont and five york schools orchard park st marks summit view and stouffville junior high plus ballantrae in whitchurch registration begins at 815 am with competition to start at nine the public is invited stouffvilles orchard park school has won the event since its inception in 1967 last year not only did they have the highest total of points but also received the largest collection of trophies jennifer smith won the junior girls cham pionship kim hassard intermediate girls jenny bangay sr a girls bob bangay sr a boys and frank roberts sr b boys st marks came in a strong second with mark chamberlain and john mcdermott tieing for the intermediate boys title carolyn
