at a board meeting in aurora feb 23 the boards latest offer a 7200 minimum for category i to a 14400 maximum in category 4 has been rejected by he teachers a statement by the ontario secondary schools teachers federation district 11 york county salary negotiations committee reads as follows this offer is far below anything in dicated as being ac ceptable and does not compare with the average per capita in crease of income over the last ten years the boards latest offer will be presented to a mass meeting for their in formation and for decisions affecting the future course of action and if necessary measures to be taken the latest teachers request ranges from a minimum of 7820 to a maximum of 15640 it was pointed out that negotiations have not broken off and a further meeting has been quoted the separate schools is out of this world why the difference why the big prices to either board in the first instance it is high time sufficient pressure were brought to bear upon vested interests because the developer is creating the need for schools he should be pre pared to bear a larger portion of the cost involved
