there arc planning a memorial for him it has been reported in the sault daily star mr sand taught at da vid kyle and campbell schools in sault ste marie prior to enlisting in the rcaf during the se cond world war on his return he became princi pal of king george school there due to mr sands in terest in music and the present musical program in the school the memor ial may take the form of following convic tion on a charge of failing to remain at the scene of an accident a summary of the evi dence revealed that on nov 22 a car driven by lewis struck a second auto driven by robert brown stouffville on main street while the brown vehicle was attempting a left turn damage to the lewis auto was between 50 and 60 and to the brown auto 30 after the collision it was further revealed lew is drove off and made no effort to speak to either brown or the police following an investiga tion the police contacted lewis at his home it was learned that he had been driving on a temporary permit and became seated he pleaded guilty to the charge
