active player during the winter months at miami greens the indoor bowling club at newmarket ff winning streak broken at 11 games skating and excellent puck control the kinsmen for wards had to be the league leading cobourg team 84 having dropped a 64 decision to this club the previous week made this games outcome even more remarkable back checking fore checking digging in the corners staying in position all were in gredients in the teams success however there were forty minutes of frustration to endure before hard work won out in the first two periods of play the clipper forwards could have been just as effective around the cobourg net with butter knives instead of hockey sticks the final period was a different matter as they broke the 33 deadlock and blasted five goals in less than crews cohesive play during the first period stouffvilles close checking provided many loose pucks but a half dozen opportunities at close range failed to alter the scoreboard cobourgs steve harold lost little time as he beat glenn jackson who was a standout throughout the contest at the thirtyfive second mark art rennick balanced the board with a high hard shot with the help of al paterson and don haynes then ray winterstein found the short side after assistance from ken crawford but bill ryan took advantage of a stouffviue penalty to make it 22 with less than two minutes rewaining period two turned out to be almost a replay of the initial frame with the clippers checking well in both ends breaking the tie missing several close- in chances and then watching the visitors cause a
