increasingly in censed over acts of van dalism in town within re cent weeks the latest incidents oc curred on the weekend when four tires on a car owned by bert clarkson main street west were slashed with a knife early saturday morning one tire on a car owned by mrs isobel duncan main street east was cut in a similar manner on sunday all win dows in an auto owned by an employee of the cable tech company were broken the vehicle was parked on the factory lot water water everywhere seek the stouffville public utilities commission has competition at the creamery site on civic street the owner hopes to replace the puc service with his own private well a sufficient supply is not yet available although the drill hole is down 300 feet jas thomas glenn r thompson heads all correctional government discussion stouffville stouffville council was well represented at a meeting in newmarket sept 24 but three hours later members were still questioning its accom plishments while it had been the benefits were so limited the 14 muni cipalities should remain mayor surgeoner argu ed that at this stage it was useless for each town and township to propose al ternatives both reeve garfield wright of east gwillim- bury and deputyreeve lawrence hennessey agreed that there were still too many questions left unanswered whitchurch councillor betty vannostrand said that rather than request futility more time the members should take advantage of the time allowed and come up with concrete proposals she noted that the department of muici- pal affairs had agreed to hold off the implementa
