thursday sept 25 1969 the tribune page 9 wmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm editorial lets wait and see by iona frascrpalmcr editor grade 1ib when asked opinions concerning the introduc tion of grade 7 and 8 classes into stouffville dist secondary school most students arc non-coin- mital i feel this attitude is best some however agree the new program is an interesting experiment and seem willing to wait and sec if an institution of our size can function properly with so great an age spread several decisions do seem unfair to those of us in senior grades the most fragrant abuse of privliegc in my opinion is the practice of selling activity cards to the 7s and 8s while it will give the students council additional funds it also gives elementary pupils the right to attend dances and participate in any club program they wish realizing this several senior students have dropped out i can readily understand their attitude it is difficult enough to organize the older ones but with dozens of junior graders running around it could develop into a real fiasco then again i may be wrong and everything could work out fine well just have to wait and see somehow i think well be able to struggle through school
