maintenance check on tax return j beer raid whitchurch twp increased main tenance costs on the bloomington sideroad west of highway 48 has prompted whitchurch coun cillor norman barnard to suggest that gravel companies located within the township assist in the upkeep of routes heavily travelled by trucks the recommendation by no means new in whitchurch was reintroduced by councillor bar nard at a meeting july 9 he urged that repre sentatives of council and the gravel firms meet to establish a cooperative maintenance program the discussion occurred after councillor bar nard said he had received a letter from a resident at rr 2 stouffville complaining about the con dition of the bloomington road the man said that his car had been damaged to the extent of 200 and both he and his wife 1000 the area around the road grader was drenched with fuel oil and although fire broke out around the motor it was quickly extinguished the ma chine was purchased in may 1967
