first house almost completed was destroyed by fire in april staff photo goodwood april 20 1967 is a day that wilfried and kay reher goodwood rr i will never forget their home on the 3rd con cession of uxbridge town ship almost completed was destroyed by fire mrs rehcr had time only lo rescue her youngest child and accompanied by three others plaving outside at the time ran to the home of a neighbor to all the brigade in stouft- xiyik by the time i arriv ed back it was all down with the exception of the clothes they had on every thing was lost such a tragedy would have broken the spirit of many couples but not mr and mrs rehcr the very next day ihcy began mak ing plans to rebuild now five months later their dream home is well un der way mr rehcr an au to mechanic in scarboro is doing much of the work himself mrs rehcr was expect ing their filth child at the time of the blaze todd months is a bouncing baby boy he joins dean 6 nancy 4i jill 3i and christian 2 in the happy family circle for a time after the lire they lived at the home of her brother in rexdale and later in ajax they then moved into a trailer on their present property un til their twocar garage could be completed both expressed appreci ation with the assistance provided by neighbors coming fiom toronto we didnt expect it it was wonderful said wilfricd betorc the fire we hardly knew anyone now we feel we know everyone said kay mrs reher said that following the arrival of babv todd a shower was held at the home of mrs harvey and she received a complete layette no one will ever know how much it was needed months mrs carson was born in claremont the daughter of the late mr and mrs wm norton she was for merly a member of mount zion united church hav ing resided in that com munity until 1963 when she and mr carson moved to brooklin she then joined the brooklin united church and was also a member of the rebekah lodge she is survived by her husband five sons lome of orillia allan and grant of rr2 claremont ray of toronto and john of osh awa also two daughters luella mrs robert shank laronge saskatchewan and ruth mrs james hall- iday of oshawa and 17 grandchildren her broth ers ralph norton clare mont rri and kenneth norton of cooksville and sisters margaret mrs evans benson of clare mont and verna mrs hen ry solfjell of scarboro also survive service was held on tuesday october 3 at the
