her honor staff photo mrs maude ellicott ninety years young brougham mrs maude ellicott of brougham celebrated a birthday on saturday she is 90 years young dressed in a lovely blue dress with matching cor sage she received more than 100 neighbors friends and relatives at an open house held in her honor at the home of her son and daughterinlaw mr and mrs manson ellicott in brougham other mem bers of the immediate family include a second son wallace of toronto and two daughters audrey mrs jim ravey of brougham and myrtle mrs ronald forde of highland creek she has seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchil dren although mrs ellicott can recall the past as though it was yesterday she enjoys the present to the full and looks for ward to the future with enthusiasm she loves to read and is an avid tv viewer her favorite pro grams are lawrence welk jackie gleason and holly wood palace are you a batman fan wc asked i watched it only once she replied with a laugh family of seven mrs ellicott the for mer maude barrett was born in clarke township near newcastle the daugh ter of richard barrett and sarah hutchinson she is the last of a family of sev en other places of resi dence include the carman barrett farm near picker ing village the ellicott homestead concession 5 and then to brougham in 1939 mr ellicott passed away eight years ago mrs ellicott attended the methodist
