passing of wellknown ladies saddens buttonville community by jean leaf buttonville this community was saddened last week to learn of the death of sirs andrew grant of unionville who died thursday january 5 at the scarboro general hospital after a short ill ness mrs grant the former helen thomson was a member of browns corn ers united church and a willing helper in church and community affairs she was also a curling enthusiast an honoured member of the unionville ladies curling club well known throughout ontario and canada as a fine com petitor surviving are her hus band andy one son ray of stouffville and three granchildren randy gary and heather also a broth er robert toronto and a sister harriet winnipeg a service was held monday afternoon january 9 in the chapel of the ogden funeral home agincourt with interment at st andrews cemetery ben- dale mrs elmo snider the buttonville com munity extends sympathy lo russell and roy boying- lon whose sister mrs eliza boynington snider passed away last week at york central hospital rich mond hill after a lengthy illness mrs snider spent her girlhood in this neighbour hood she was the daughter of the late mr and mrs john boyington who farm ed the land where arn- leigh heights and knob hill farm market are locat ed at don mills road and no 7 hwy mrs snider is survived by her husband elmo of yonge st richmond hill and her brothers both of buttonville a funeral service was held saturday afternoon january 7 from the pipher funeral home richmond hill neighbourhood notes mrs albert copps moth er has been staying with the copp family since the death of her husband late last fall mrs aubrey stephen sons mother mrs a e milner has taken up resid ence at stouffville mrs clarke young of unionville entertained for mrs d harrington on the occasion of her 90th birth day and among the guests were mr and mrs russell boyington and dr and mrs george kelly for mrs harrington it was not only a reunion with old friends but a return to her former home as well janet craig is recuperat ing from a tonsilectomy and mrs richard carr re turned home monday from scarboro hospital after surgery the victoria square and district
