at 2 pm in the community hall and from all reports an excellent program is planned twelve numbers will be featured including the ver satile jean martin of ajax whose singing and playing prowess was a feature attraction last sea son the master of cere monies will be dave mac- donald of claremont other participants in the program include lee watson of goodwood don and betty neal of pickering christine evans the community string band of carol rcdshaw george smith david smith jean martin and bob hunter mrs rose mary timms and son ricky terri pilkev and shelley ward lori rcd shaw and the unforgetta ble roaring twenties mrs dorothy brittons sunday school class will present a short skit en titled christmas mix the arrival of santa claus will conclude the show it was- a complete sur prise for mrs earle pilkcy last week when her broth er kenneth etcher of windsor arrived at her home with his bride elaine a few nights later mr and mrs pilkcy and 45 other relatives from toronto oshawa bowman- ville and whitby attended a shower at the home of bishop fred etcher of the mormon church oshawa to bring gifts and to wel come the newest member of the family thursday dec 1 the ladies mr and mrs bill boying- ton mr and mrs joseph maltby of rr 1 malton celebrated their grandson ricky timms 10th birth- day on sunday when they had dinner at the home of mr and mrs roy timms also at the dinner were mrs timms niece and nephew joy and larry maltby of malton the christmas meeting of the womens institute will be held in the com munity hall december 14 at 2 pm special guests will be the today warren c willson stricken suddenly brougham funeral service was conducted in st johns united church brougham tuesday after noon for warren c will- son longtime member of the congregation and a lifelong resident of the brougham community mr willson was strick en with a heart seizure saturday evening and rushed to the pickcring- ajax hospital he died s hours later warren willson a native of pickering township was born on the 5th con cession two miles south of brougham the son of the late edward willson the first assessor in the muni cipality whether it was looking after his farm or t tij
