gormley area attended the funeral of the late mr aaron shef- fer of stayner on saturday during recent months this aged gentleman had been looking forward to his 100th birthday on march 1 he was a resident of the nursing home in stayner until he suffered a weak spell on feb 20 he was moved to collingwood hospital where he passed away on march 2 at the age of 100 years and one day on his birthday he was visited by his son-in- law and daughter mr and mrs edgar stickley of gormley as well as other members of his family that evening he spoke a few words to hi son rev geo sheffer of stayner mr she- ffer lived for some years in the gormley area moving to stayner in 1900 he was a farmer mason and builder by trade mrs murray bennett left monday morning to attend the annual board meeting of the united missionary society at springfield ohio students from emmanuel bible college in kitchener were at the united mission ary church for the sunday morning service president h b
