bochmcr dd presi dent of the toronto bible col lege dr boehmcr is a graduate of the moody bible institute chi cago he has held pastorates in waterloo and toronto calvary church in toronto of which he was pastor gained wide recog nition for the expansion of its missionary program and sun day school organization during his fourteen years there dr bochmer has served on numerous missionary councils and has travelled widely as a missionary statesman he is well qualified to speak on the j subject of world missions o- 1 day all are invited to hear i him at 1100 am and 730 pm 1 guest soloist in the morning 1 service will be mrs floyd do ner from oshawa and in the ev- ening mr leroy sopcr from stourtville will be the soloist during the month of april the markham u m church is placing special gregation as well as other smal- lcr projects that are carried by the church and sunday school dixie dean coming to markham mr dixie dean one of the outstanding accordianists of our day will be playing in the mar kham united missionary church on wednesday april 4th at 8 pm he will also be speaking in this midweek ser vice which is part of the annual missionary conference of the church mr dean was a professional accordianist at the age of 14 for twenty years he was with the canadian broadcasting cor poration and had written and played music for the national film board he was the first charter member of the canad ian teachers accordianist as sociation that organization has been given their government charter the first in the world during world war ii mr dean served in the canadian navy as a wireless operator for 2vs years and then was with the canadian navy show during which time he played before the king and queen and the two princesses however it is not because of these accomplishments that di xie dean is being brought to the united missionary church it is because of his service as a christian missionary after the war he became a christian at tended and graduated from the toronto bible college and then went to serve with the world radio missionary fellowship inc in ecuador south ameri ca there with radio station hcjb the voice of the andes he was program director this missionary radio station is heard by short wave around the world mr dean will in this service not only be playing his accor dion several times but will be speaking and telling of the mis
