rover the root of land and the erection of a new six class room school be it therefore enacted a bylaw of the board of trustees of the roman catholic separate school for the village of stouffville as follows 1 it shall be lawful for the chairman and the secretary- treasurer of the board of trus tees of the roman catholic sep arate school for the village of stouffville and they are hereby authorized and empowered on behalf of the said board to bor row from the torontodominion bank on the credit of the said board the sum of twentyfive thousand dollars pending the issue and sale of debentures to cover the cost of the land and erection of a new six classroom school and to pay interest there on at the rate of five and three- quarter per cent per annum 2 the said chairman and sec retary treasurer are hereby authorized and empoyered on be half nf the said board to sign and execute under seal of the said board and the said chair man and secretary treasurer are hereby authorized and em powered to borrow by way of overdraft andor to deliver to the said bank promissory note or notes of the said board to the extent of twentyfive thousand dollars payable at the markham ontario office of the said bank bearing interest at the rate of five and threequarter per cent per annum and also to execute in like manner renewals thereof in whole or in part until the amount so borrowed shall have been repaid in full 3 the said chairman and sec retarytreasurer are hereby au thorized and empowered on be half of the said board to pledge and hypothecate the said deben tures when issued to the said bank as collateral security for the said sum hereby authorized to borrow from the said bank 4 this bylaw shall take effect on from and after the passing thereof 5 the proceeds of such loan shall be applied for the purpose aforesaid but the torontodo minion bank shall not be bound to see to the application of such loan passed by the board of trus tees of the roman catholic sep arate
