caygeon two goal before roar ing back to win 43 in a real thriller ross brown was the hero of the same when he fired the winning goal at the 1342 mark of the final period only mom ents prior to that pete reesor tied the game at 33 when on a breakaway he drifted a shot into the top right corner the stouffville club started out flying in the first few min utes of the game but were sco red on twice dale junk in hit the target at 143 and less than a minute later john nicholls put the visitors two up a scramble in front of joe junkin bobcaygeon goalie re sulted in the first stouffville goal pete reesor hit the post with a mile of shooting space and tom benson roared in to bat the loose puck home half way through the first period stouffville came so close to sco ring it fooled the goal judge the light went on but no goal was scored the clippers swarmed like bees around the visitors for the remainder of the period then poured it on again in the mid dle frame at the 52 second mark robin firing a wicked shot that was blocked however the puck got away from the goalie and mill with no protection he had no chance when cary martin smartly slapped in the rebound on a powerplay bobcaygeon forwards fired three blistering shots at doyle in succession the clipper netminder with speed and versatility turned all three drives aside in great style anyone game the two teams bat led back and forth into the final 20 min utes doyle and junkin came up with sparkling saves on num erous occasions it was still anyones game when pete ree sor broke loose to tie the score stouffville fans nearly brought the roof down when brown broke the tie giving the time in the contest the home sters cooled down their redhot offensive power and switched to defensive hockey they checked the ticats before a rush could get going and iced the puck several times spectators were awaiting the removal of junkin from the ticat net but only after the 1945 mark did he take a posi tion on the bench six attack ers good sportsmanship to obey the regulations laid down by the ontario minor hockey asso ciation to lose gracefully and to compliment good play- when compliments are in order it teaches me teamwork and gives me the companionship of my fellow players it kives me an opportunity to use my leisure time in a worth while way a way in which both my body and mind benefit perhaps most of all it teaches me to
