town girls are cord ially invited to join we are lucky to have as leaders this year mrs wm kingsley capt and mrs e mole and miss s smith lieutenants it should be noted that all leadership in the guide movement is volun tary at our first court of honour this year the company and pa trol leaders discussed and planned various activities and projects for the year which we feel sure the guides will en joy court of honour is held frequently throughout the year to help make the guide meet ings more interesting and ben eficial for the guides on october 9th the guides journeyed to camp makeewa near palgrave ontario to spend a weekend ot active days and sleepless nights daylight hours promised nature hunts various crafts and a hike through the snow after dark we enjoyed folk dancing and singsongs around our camp- fire the guides agree that camp makeewa is a lovely place and hope to go there ag ain soon a warm thank you is ex tended to all parents who vol unteered their time and cars for transportation to and from- the camp and we especially thank the guide leaders who sacrificed their own restful weekends in order to spend it with 22 loud boisterous girls we think they had even more sunday with mr and mrs lloyd mover and family mr and mrs arthur mertens mr bill mertens and mr john mertens of toronto and mrs bell of sunderland- eng were visitors on sunday with miss m mertens mr and mrs clarence mc dowell accompanied bv mr and mrs fred pugh and mrs ella thompson of box- grove spent tuesday with rev and mrs john colley at lockport ny on thursday mr and mis fred pugh visited
