with don and arlenc barker ending up the winners with john lester and pearl gough in second piac- next week we are planning two tournaments one for ladies and one for men these are singles tournaments with handi caps to count entry fee is 150 for three games with half going into the prize pool lets make this a big one the miniature golf is drawing a lot of play and we arc busy working out details for a big elimination tournament to de clare the seasons champion for the okccfc trophy watch for details many arc finding the course a pleasant way of passing those few minutes while waiting for their league to start bowling this week marks the first step in the players festival roll- offs all entrants arc trying to beat their dec 7th average in their league bowling this week watch for the list of those who qualify for the second step to appear on the bulletin boards would you go swimming in an overcoat or play hockey in a bathing suit bowling like all sports calls for proper dress in order to play the game pro perly men are not so restrict ed in their choice of dress as are the ladles when it comes to bowling although snug fitting shirts and tight clothes should be avoided for the ladies tight skirts and sweaters should never be worn for bowling select a skirt and shirt or blouse that gives you freedom of movement or wear slacks swinging skirts should also be avoided as they interfere with the swing of the ball we have often been asked about the type of clothes to be worn so these are just a few sug gestions watch for details in the next week or so regarding the elim ination scries to find a house champion for both men and women this is something thk house has never had and ws continued on page 12
