hockey games this winter in stouffville arena will enjoy the pleasant comfort of warm clean electric heat directors of stouffville arena limited have decided after stu dying various methods of heat ing the spectator sections of the arena that electric heat is most efficient and economical they have ordered the installa tion initially of ten infra red electric heating units over two of the principal seating areas five on each side of the ice sheet the electric units will have a capacity of 42 kilowatts each making a total heating load of 42 kilowatts for the arena which can seat about 1000 persons the infra red heating units will be suspended from the arena roof and will be located about three feet out from the cushion slanted toward the spectator seats and approxi mately twelve feet above the ice surface this means that these electric infra red units which are sometimes referred to as people heaters will keep the hockey fans warm without throwing any heat on the ice surface the heating units will cost about 1700 to purchase and install thursday october 24 1963 the st0uffviiu tribune page 7 goodwood rev and mrs julian and family had sunday dinner with mr and mrs garfield
