follows i the township to pay the un employment insurance for two years and obtain a resolution as to permanent employment 2 in regard to hospitalization the township will pay 50 of standard rates on permanent employees only 3 statutory holidays are to be granted to permanent employees but not temporary ones 4 in regard to a pension plan the township will pay for permanent employ ees only 5 to delete hourly wage increases for road em ployees commencing jan 1st j964 the bylaw provides for a 48- hour week rather than 49 the salary of the deputy clerk treasurer is to be increased from s4800 to cone 10 the accident rate on don mills road can be broken down into one collision every 175 feet in spite of this toll of dented fenders and broken bones there t was not a single fata accident i on this pavement in 62 j only the section between 17th and 18th avenues escaped the ravages of motor vehicle acci dents there were 16 collisions between steeles and 16th ave and 31 between victoria square rnd gormley at the gormley intersection alone there were 9 mishaps the cause of the high colli sion rate on don mills can pos sibly be attributed mainly to the amount of traffic handled on the road this incldcs not only cars but also hundreds of gravel trucks that frequent the many pits in the area markham police keep a close eye on this section of highway and their radar unit is more on
