councillors the local council favours assess ing in this municipality be done locally rather than on a county system reeve timbers touched on the subject at the regular meeting of stouffville council thursday evening and said he didnt jiink a county system would work as well i can see a num ber of troubles that would arise one being court of revision he said strangers wouldnt know local values as well as someone at home said councillor spang reeve timbers pointed out that any move to set up a com plete county assessment system required one hundred per cent endorsement by all municipal ities it wont get anywhere was ihe deputyreeves comment he also pointed out that several municipalities had assessors who had been on the job a long time and whom they wouldnt wish to change before retire ment
