afternoon and evening on october 3rd 1900 mr and mrs ashenhurst were married in the stouffville anglican church a day at markham fair constituted their honeymoon they travelled from home to stouffville by horse and buggy then to markham on the train mr ashenhurst was born on the fifth concession uxbridge township the son of the late mr and mrs robert ashen hurst he attended the webb public school mrs ashenhurst the former hannah linton was born near claremont and at tended cedar creek school following their marriage the happy couple resided on their farm on the 4th concession of vote last week de cided to purchase 48 acres of land as a site for a future muni cipal building at the northeast corner of brock road and no 2 highways councillors harvey spang and edgar james voted in the negative the land is owned by mr ken neth clark and may be purch ased for 20000 reeve sherman scott term ed it one of the choicest pieces of land in the township he said mr clark had turned down offers of higher amounts from oil companies who wanted to put a service station on the cor ner he said mr clark would sell lo the township for this amount if it was in the agree ment that if the
