towards better farm safety in york cou nty was taken last week the york county farm safety cou ncil was formed at a meeting of farm people representing the major organizations in york officials from the crop im provement association the fed eration of agriculture the wo mens institutes the york cou nty council met to work out a plan to try and cut down the number of farm accidents in formation from last years farm accident survey will be very helpful ir helping people to avoid future accidents the new council will be making people familiar with this report so that everyone will know where the greatest dangers are the council also hopes to work with each of the organizations to promote farm safety to the benefit of all farmers the accident survey showed three kinds of accidents to be most common and most serious highway accidents topped the list followed closely by falls and stumbles occurring while doing both house and farm work fires and explosions also added to the very high cost of farm accidents the council elected as its president eugene lemon of stouffville the vice president is chas grubbe of king a direc tor of the federation of agri culture and the director to the
