conducted the sunday morning service and the message on con secration was greatly appre ciated mr and mrs roy moyer at tended the funeral service of mrs wesley sherrick who died suddenly at her home at oak ridges service in the thomp son funeral chapel and inter ment at aurora cemetery mr and mrs lloyd moyer dorothy and mildred had satur day supper with mr and mrs roy moyer and eleanor mr maurus shupe was laid to rest in the local cemetery fol lowing memorial service in the stouffvilie united missionary church the community said a fond farewell to garry mceacheran who has been doing such a fine job at the church every sunday garry is off to far away fields and though hell be very much missed by the ballantrae con gregation and the young people in the district we all wish him luck in his future plans mr john winch from keswick will be replacing garry and to him we say welcome there was a happy family re union at the home of mr and mrs montford rose this satur day passed the children all came to dinner there was mr and mrs stan rose and helen and keith from london mr and mrs carl rose bruce and joyce from lakeshore rd and mrs wm topper and denise also of lakeshore road every one had a wonderful time find ing out all the news from each other its a onceayear event at the rose home and much en joyed by the whole family mr and mrs rthur storry from bloomington rounded out the lakeshore rd went to the big city to spend a very enjoyable weekend with her daughter mrs t clayton almost all the cottagers made it up this weekend the old lake is starting to really come alive the motor boats are once again starting to fill the air with their own particular kind of music the boats seem to be getting flashier and a lot faster lets hope the fellows who were chur ning the surf this sunday will be a little more thoughtful of the safety of others when the lake is up to its summertime crowd it is time again to think of water safety for all there were far too many accidents last year and as the authorities say most of them could have been avoided by a little more care and consideration on every ones part dont forget to do your part for the schools projector pro ject buy tickets sell tickets and for sure come to the spring bake sale and bazaar to be held in a- couple of weeks saturday may 7th at the school the chil dren will be bringing home a notice but for all you please help all you can by sending something for the bazaar and if you just dont have anything do come for the evening and have a cup of tea if you have anything to send any one of the students will of brownies dont forget the la meeting at the church on monday may 2 at the same time as the brownies meet 730 this is to be a very important meeting to make arrangements for the mother and daughter
