industrial development is having an ad verse effect on coop feed fer tilizer and seed sales according to mr john mclntyre manag er of the claremont cooperat ive mr mclntyre addressed the annual shareholders meeting in the claremont baptist church on wednesday evening of last week he contended however that the feed business was stiil the backbone of the farm he noted that competition in almost all lines was quite keen mr mclntyre suggested that although urbanized rural areas might be responsible for a drop in farm supply sales it should increase the turnover of coop store sales he sug gested that the fault might pos sibly lie with council mrs mcpherson said she would like to make it clear that her inference was made only be cause there is no mill rate charge on the area policed by the opp and not because she is dissatisfied in any way with the services provided by the township police department the dep reeve said she re ceived a number of telephone calls from ratepayers who
