tbmby my 31 1958 musselmans lake on saturday july 26 church ill drive assoc held a picnic on their beach lor the members and their families which was at tended by a large crowd and was most successful with everyone having a wonderful time races and swimming events for swim mers and- nonswimmers the wee ones were very eventful there was a diving event for the older ones as well as a splash ball game which also proved interesting a tugofwar made up of young fry and ad ults with norman brown and joe robb as captains was won by norm browns team as joe robb bit the dust thanks to mr rickerby who brought his barbq and with the help of lionel begin char coal broiled wieners were served to the children in fact even some adults were in on this treat later the tables were set and a delicious picnic supper was served which was prepared by the ladies a special event for ladies of dropping clothes pins in a milk bottle was won by mrs rickerby after the sup per a bowling party took place and was attended by several members joe robb won the mens division with phylis rick erby leading the womens and our good treasurer a rickerby was head pin man of the eve ning we were especially happy to have as our guests from tor onto mrs a brown mother of jim brown mr george brown brother and mr and mrs j janes mrs burns mother of our past president eric had- field also was there having just celebrated her 81st birth day on monday congratula tions we also saw our bride and groom vic and barbara leber hobbs barbara is the daughter of our president who was married recently a special thankyou to laur ence and pat hie for a terrific catering job shalimar is al ways willing and ready to help you to those who were unable to attend we missed you and you missed a wonderful time how
