investigated the pos sible rightofway to the reser voirs and that alex ratcllff and frank roberts had each asked the sum of 1s00 for the former cnr rightofway pro perty for a new roadway while the january 2nd 1 mrs wm slack passes in 68th year the death occurred in stouff ville nursing home on sunday dee 15th of mrs william slack mrs slack had been ill for a couple of months and had not enjoyed good health for the past two years she was the former grace eckardt arid was born at glasgow she was in her 68th year mr william slack predeceas- late mrs stapley came to canada 53 years aga mrs sarah stapley resident for the past 13 years on the 9th line markham township just south of town passed away at cedar lodge rest home queensville on satur day evening december 14 mrs stapley was in her 87th year and had been in frail health for many years she was the widow of the late mr percy stapley who predeceased her by four years she was born in udimore sussex england and canie to toronto canada with her husband and son rob ert in 1904 she was a sister of the late mr wm smith whose death occurred recently at the stouffville nursing home in his 92nd year besides her son robert mrs stapley allowance councillor james asked coun cillor cosburn if he had said that she was trying to put the sabiston pit out of business but councillor cosburn replied that he had never heard mrs james make
