were four candidates nominated for the three council seats the three present council members mr wallwork mr williams and jack wylie are seeking re election but something new hast been added this year the 4th j candidate is a lady a housewife j mrs elsie gibb of wilcox lake i no matter who wins the main thing is that everyone eligible j to vote votes the votes that j dont count are the ones that arent cast so make yours count our polling station is at bill toppers farm ballantrae side- road now called musselmans lake road polls are open from 10 am to 8 pm on monday december 2 the cubs and scouts are go ing ahead by leaps and bounds several new boys joined the scouts this week and more are expected we have still another second star cub andrew watson who passed his test with flying colors and was presented with his second star last monday young billy windsor is also to be congratulated on success fullypassing his first star work he received his star on monday too the boys are an eager lot and really anxious to learn they are planning a christmas party for december 16th mothers get the cookie jar out each boy has taken home the name of another and is to buy a small gift no president of the association for the year 19575s mrs j t johnston is conval escing at her home for a few days but her condition is good miss annie yeo who was to sail on the empress of eng land visited mr and mrs al lan doner on saturday due to some physical condition miss yeos return to the field has been postponed indefinitely over 40 relatives and friends were at the union station on
