the offence as despicable he pointed out that there is nothing in the crim inal code to protect animals i from iuch treatment ard that accuseds guilt his worship said passing sentence this looks like a case of carelessness but those chicks should have been disposed of properly and painlessly he suggested that a s50 fine will he sufficient de- terrant to any recurrence of this type of offence green
