attended the funeral of the late abner summerfeldt ringwood con ducted from the oneill funeral chapel on friday afternoon was very largely attended the serv ice was conducted by rev h lindeman pastor the late abner summerfeldt was born on the 6th concession of markham ninetyfive years ago and received his schooling in the 6th con public school mr summerfeldt farmed for sjme years on the farm where he was born he also operated a store in unionville for a num ber of years and retired to ring- wood twenty years ago mr summerfeldt took an act ive interest in local politics serv ed several terms on markham township council and was reeve in 1917 he enjoyed lawn bowl ing in his younger years and was a member of the markham union masonic lodge where he received his 50year jewel just three years ago deceased was a regular attendant at the lu theran church and served as secretarytreasurer for fifty years mr summerfeldt was twice married his first wife being the late alfretta echardt to them were born two sons ross e of toronto and otto now deceased and a daughter cora mrs b wilson unionville he is survived by his wife the former gertrude fisher to whom was born one son john at home three
