established stouffville was discussed ard unanimously pass ed at a meeting of the lions club on monday evening the project will include the opera tion of all minor hockey such as peewee bantam midget juve nile and a junior entry this largescale hockey programme will be spread over two nights weekly monday and thursday evenings have been set aside for an icerental fee of s2 500 for the entire season mr don davis who presented the lions club with the pro posed plan stated that he be lieved it would be posmble to operate this hockey programme at a lesser expense to the club than was involved in the season of 1936 57 he pointed out that um hours would he needed at the arena each week which amounted to approximately s9 per hour under the financial ar rangement set down by the arena board mr davis noted that the regular hourly rate paid by outside clubs was 1500 although the final arrange ments have yet to be worked out it has tentatively been agreed that monday nights pro gramme will include the opera tion of the peewee league the bantam team and a juvenile club the ice will be available from 6 pm until the la game is completed on thursday eve ning commencing at 430 pm the peewees the midgets and the juniors will see action since under the past setup each peewee player was receiv ing on an average of only six minutes of hockey per week it has been decided to split the league and have two nights per week instead of one each plaver on anv one of the peewee bantam midget and juvenile teams will pay a regis tration fee thes players will be insured at a cost of s1s0o0 every person entering the arena for any of these games will be charged an admission fee of 25c a separate admission charge will be made for the junior games the hockey association will operate under an appointed exec utive the president treasurer and convener will be members of the lions club there will be a head roach over the entire system plus coaches and manag ers for each individual club an equipment manager will be nam ed to look after the sweaters pads sticks etc at both home and away games although men to fill these important posts hae already been selected their names will not be revealed until they have been contacted personally mr ken laushway pies of the arena board told the meet ing that the proposed scheme was one that met with his com plete approval he stated that he
