five goal advantage chalked up in the series opener the boys never stopped trying and looked good even in defeat their job was made even harder since havelock held a 21 lead at the end of the first period stouff ville counted two unanswered tallies in the second frame and outscored their rivals 32 in the last period ron rutherford havelocks number 13 was the driving force behind the visitors shot rick wedseltoft was brought down from the midgets to bol ster the bantam lineup and al though he failed to score he picked up an assist on one stouffville goal he performed on a line with grant foreman and larry malloy glenn jack son played well in the nets for the homesters there were eleven penalties in the game seven to stouffville and four to havelock havelock 9 stouffville 4 any similarity between the stouffville team of thursday night and the club of saturday night was purely coincidental for the first twenty minutes of thursdays game the local team played well in the second and third frames they lapsed badly and all hopes of winning either the game or the series were lost the first period saw stouff ville skate the havelock home sters into the ice with a little luck they
